A nanny is a
professional employee who is paid a salary. A Nanny does
not have to reside in the home where she is caring for
the children of the family.
A nanny's
responsibilities include:
Childcare: Caring
for the children's daily needs, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Planning: Planning
activities, playdates, and outings
Education: Helping
with homework, reading, and educational activities
Housekeeping: Tidying
up, doing laundry, and light housekeeping
Transportation: Driving
or carpooling the children to activities, school, or playdates
Behaviour guidance: Helping
with behaviour guidance
Infant care: Caring
for infants, including changing diapers and bottle-feeding
Sick care: Caring
for sick children in the home
Advice: Giving
advice and support to new mothers
Medicine: Administering
medicine with the parents' consent, if necessary
